Crue Frank Harward

We're so excited to have Crue here with us & to feel the sweet spirit & love that comes with having a newborn baby in our home. Crue was born on Jan 27th at 5:08 pm. He weighed 7 lb 2 oz. This pregnancy was definitely different than any of the others...everything from having morning sickness to "getting" to feel what real contractions feel like. We had a scheduled c-section date for Saturday Jan 29th but I started having contractions Wednesday night & went to the hospital Thursday morning. The kids have LOVED having Crue in our home & we have to keep a timer around to that they each get equal holding time. With this being our last baby...I'm definitely savoring every moment! Welcome Crue....WE LOVE YOU!!!

My day old child
Author: Carol Lynn Pearson

My day old child in my arms
with my lips against his ear
I whispered strongly "How I wish,
I wish that you could hear,

"I've a hundred wonderful things to say
(A tiny cough and nod)
Hurry, hurry, hurry and grow
so I can tell you about God."

My day old baby's mouth was still
and my words only tickled his ear,
but a kind of light passed through his eyes,
and I saw this thought appear,

"How I wish I had a voice and words,
I've a hundred things to say,
Before I forget, I'd tell you of God,
I left Him yesterday."

Christmas 2010

This has by far been my favorite Christmas yet. My kids are at the perfect ages! We started out with Christmas Eve at Josh's sister Jess's house & then we headed home to do our Christmas Eve activities. We drank our special hot chocolate "sleeping potion" that you have to stir with a magical candy cane & drop in a special chocolate bell. It really does make the kids sleepy;) We then had to make our cookies for Santa & open up their Christmas Eve present....Christmas PJ's. This year Hayden got some fun stuff for her American Girl doll & she got a ticket to see WICKED!! So not fair! Tate got a new Razor scooter & a skateboard with all pads & helmet to go with it. Rex got a new bike & a skateboard too. The boys got their favorite D Will jerseys & a fun Criss Cross Crash Hot wheels toy. Josh surprised me with a Nookcolor...totally didn't' see that one coming. I'm having a lot of fun learning how to download ebooks from the online library. Josh & I also got new bedding which I'm in love with. I was thrilled...Josh, not so much:) Tate gave our family a really nice calendar that he made at school which is super special. Josh got some BYU shorts & t-shirts, shoes, snow boots & some other knick knacky stuff:) He will love that I said that. We definitely enjoyed this Christmas & we have felt so blessed this holiday season!

Cook Christmas Party 2010

This year we had my families Christmas party at my sister Christine's house. We definitely enjoyed some good food, the BEST home made ice cream & hot fudge & lots of fun gifts. It's always so fun to see all the cousins together. This is my nephew's last Christmas here before he goes on a mission...where does the time go?!

Hayden's Hip Hop Dance Recital

Hayden took a Hip Hop class this last fall & she had a recital in December. The girls had so much fun taking this class. She took it with a group of her friends from our neighborhood. Good group of girls! Loved how they can turn from being so sweet to being "gangsta":)

Mecham Christmas Party 2010

My kids got to see Santa & tell him what they wanted at the Mecham Christmas party. This is Josh's moms family. It was a great party...lots of good food & fun games!

Thanksgiving 2010

This year we had Thanksgiving with the Harward's. Luckily no one had any sickness so we all were able to enjoy Thanksgiving this year. My birthday was this same weekend & it was so nice having some family time.

Hayden's first piano recital

Hayden had her very first piano recital & she did amazing! She played "Get Away" & Ode to Joy". She was really nervous at first but she played her songs with great composure.

Halloween 2010

Hayden was a glitzy pirate this year, Tate & Rex were about 2 or 3 different things between all the parties we went to. Tate was Darth Vader & Optimis Prime. Rex was a Ninja, Bumblebee (from Transformers...no Aunt Jenn not "A BUMBLEBEE"....big difference:) & Buzz Lightyear.

Pumpkins 2010

I don't really like a lot of things about Halloween but one thing that I do love is carving pumpkins with my kids. They love picking out their jack-o-lantern faces. I love how each one shows their personalities. Josh is always such a good sport too...he's the one that gets to do the carving & the gross part...cleaning out the insides:)

Snow Bird 2010

For part of our Fall Break we spent a night at Snow Bird. The kids loved riding the Tram & being a the top of the mountain. The kids tried to swim in the outside pool but they didn't last very long. Bless Josh's heart...he even got in with the kids. It was FREEZING but luckily there wasn't any snow that weekend...the next weekend Snow Bird got dumped on:)

Fall Break 2010

For Fall Break we headed down to Moroni to my parents house. We got to see my Grandma Cook & the kids got to do their favorite thing in Moroni....feed the goats.

Live has been CrAzY!!!

Can I just say that the last 3 months have been the busiest EVER!! Needless to say...my blog was on the bottom of the priority list:) We've done a lot of really fun things the last 3 months & have made a lot of fun memories. Baby Crue is coming in just over 3 weeks...AHHH!! This pregnancy has by far gone the fastest & has been the easiest for me (and I've been able to wear my wedding ring the whole time, which didn't happen with the other three:) Being Primary president has made my life absolutely & positively nuts the last while. Instead of posting a bunch of pics together...I'm going to post them in groups. Not so sure that blogging will happen to much this next year...but I'll do my best:)
